The experience

Walk through the garden entrance at Swarthmoor Hall and step back in time. Experience a slower pace of life, a place of calm, a place of thoughtfulness and spirituality.
Swarthmoor Hall offers visitors an intimate and informal glimpse into life in this mid-17-century country house, where the tradition of hospitality lives on.
But more than that, discover a tale of passion, love and adventure! Listen to the stories of Margaret and Thomas Fell, George Fox and the ‘Valiant Sixty’. When the Hall was the headquarters of the burgeoning Quaker movement they risked their liberty to tell the world about their new ideas and philosophy.
Leave and notice a difference in yourself.
