Regular Events at Swarthmoor Hall
Last Thursday of each month
Meeting for Worship – Last Thursday of each month
Meeting for worship takes place on the last Thursday of each month at 11am.
The Swarthmoor Hall Spiritual Support Group invites you to join us for meeting for worship on the last Thursday of each month. There is an ‘in-person’ extended meeting for worship at Swarthmoor Hall. The meeting is also available via Zoom.
Everyone is welcome to join either in-person or on Zoom.

Tuesdays April to August
Cumbria Yoga Foundation – Yoga in the Park (Garden)
Every Tuesday from 14th April to 25th August 2026 at 6pm.
Cumbria Yoga Foundation are returning to Swarthmoor Hall to run their Yoga sessions in our Garden.
Please note there is no session on 26th May or 14th July.

Wednesday 18th March
Swarthmoor Hall Historic House Re-opens for the Season
Our Historic House will open its door for the first time in 2026: Open 10.30am – 3.30pm – last entry 3pm.
Swarthmoor Hall Historic House and Gardens will re-open for 2026 on Wednesday 18th March. We have extended our opening days and will now be open Wednesday to Saturday, 10.30am – 3.30pm!
Our Cafe and Shop will also open from 10.30am – 3.30pm, Wednesday to Saturday, with last orders at 3.15pm.
We’re very much looking forward to welcoming new and returning visitors to the Hall, to explore the historic significance of Swarthmoor Hall for the Swarthmoor/Ulverston community and as the founding place of the religious Quaker movement from 1652!
Entry to the Historic House & Gardens is £8 per person, children 17 years and under are Free.
We are a dog friendly site, however, dogs are not permitted in the historic hall with the exception of guide and assistance dogs.

Beekeeper Training – Furness & District Beekeepers Associations
18th & 25th March – Free training for those interested in keeping bees – 7.30PM.
Furness & District Beekeepers Association will be holding free training sessions for anyone interested in keeping bees. There will be no live bees. You are welcome at any or all sessions. No need to book.
Our training apiary will open around mid-April on Saturday mornings at 10.30am.

Furness Book Fair
Furness Book Fair makes its debut at Swarthmoor Hall on Saturday 28th March, 10am – 4pm.
Come along to meet local authors and publishers, learn more about their projects and buy their books!
The whole site will be open including the Historic House and Gardens, Barn Cafe and Shop. Parking is free.
Entry to the Book Fair is free, however entry to the Historic House and Gardens is charged at usual price (£8 per person, children 17 years and under are free).
April 2026
Saturday 25th April
Whole Site Closure
Swarthmoor Hall whole site will be closed for a private event on Saturday 25th April.
Apologies for any inconvenience, Swarthmoor Hall Historic House, Gardens, Shop and Cafe will be closed to the public for a private event.
We will re-open on Wednesday 29th April at 10.30am.

Antiques, Vintage, Vinyl & Collectibles Fair
Swarthmoor Hall welcomes back The Antiques, Vintage, Vinyl & Collectibles Fair on Sunday 10th May, 10am – 4pm.
Visit Swarthmoor Hall for a day full of antique and vintage stalls, with live music.
Our Historic House, Gardens, Shop and Cafe will be open too.
Entry to the Fair is free, however entry to the Historic House and Gardens is charged at usual price (£8 per person, children 17 years and under are free).
