Meet the team behind Swarthmoor Hall
You can count on our dedicated team of staff and volunteers for a warm welcome, whether you’re visiting the Hall, staying for a few days or just stopping for a coffee.
Robert Blincow
Manager
Robert joined the Swarthmoor Hall team in June 2023. He has a background in facilities and hospitality management and ran a large heritage site in Somerset. Robert has overseen the recent restorations at the Hall and is delighted to welcome visitors back to this special place.
Clare Dent
Collections & Visitor Experience Coordinator
Clare has worked at Swarthmoor Hall since 2018. As well as looking after our cherished collection of 17-century furniture and artefacts, Clare arranges group tours, Quaker pilgrimages and loves talking to visitors about the Hall’s fascinating history.
David Oprey
Groundsperson
David is the latest addition to the team, joining us in November 2023. He provides ongoing site maintenance to ensure our buildings and grounds remain attractive, welcoming spaces. David is a keen beekeeper and looks after the hives in our wildflower meadow.
Jenny Ormandy
Housekeeping Supervisor
Jenny has been with us since 2013. She ensures that our site and accommodation is immaculate for guests and visitors. Jenny loves meeting people and creating a warm environment that feels like a home from home.
Nick Smith
General Site Assistant
Nick has worked at Swarthmoor Hall since 2006. He is a familiar face to our visitors and helps with many aspects of repair and maintenance.
