Meeting for Worship – Last Thursday of each month
Meeting for worship takes place on the last Thursday of each month at 11am.
The Swarthmoor Hall Spiritual Support Group invites you to join us for meeting for worship on the last Thursday of each month. There is an ‘in-person’ extended meeting for worship at Swarthmoor Hall. The meeting is also available via Zoom.
Everyone is welcome to join either in-person or on Zoom.

Every Tuesday from 14th April to 25th August 2026 at 6pm.
Cumbria Yoga Foundation are returning to Swarthmoor Hall to run their Yoga sessions in our Garden.
Please note there is no session on 26th May or 14th July.

Life Drawing with Still Life
One Tuesday per month 6.30pm – 8.30pm.
Still Life bring their Life drawing sessions to Swarthmoor Hall one Tuesday evening per month.

Swarthmoor Hall welcomes back The Antiques, Vintage, Vinyl & Collectibles Fair on Sunday 10th May, 10am – 4pm.
Visit Swarthmoor Hall for a day full of antique and vintage stalls, with live music.
Our Historic House, Gardens, Shop and Cafe will be open too.
Entry to the Fair is free, however entry to the Historic House and Gardens is charged at usual price (£8 per person, children 17 years and under are free).

Ulverston Community Resilience Event
If you’re a home owner, business owner, farmer, or have an opinion on flooding in Ulverston, please book now for Wednesday 13th May, 10am – 4pm.
Ulverston Resilience Group and Ulverston Town Council want to agree an approach to prepare better for possible flooding this winter. Please come along to this event to share your concerns and experiences, and help us decide what to do to prepare ourselves better for heavy rainfall.

Ulverston International Music Festival – Talk & Harpsichord Recital
Sunday 31st May – 11am – £20: Tickets include complimentary non-alcoholic drink and entry to house & gardens.
Join expert historian Dr David Jackson for a deep-dive into the history of Swarthmoor Hall, before exploring the house yourself. Once you are fully immersed in the history of this Grade II* listed gem, you can sit back, relax, and enjoy a recital of 17th & 18th century harpsichord music given by Cumbria-based harpsichordist Katharine May.

National Garden Scheme Open Days
Our Gardens & grounds are open to visit Saturday 13th and Sunday 14th June 11am – 4pm, our Cafe, Shop and Historic House will be open too.
Swarthmoor Hall is excited and proud to be part of the National Garden Scheme Open Days. The NGS takes donations made by garden visitors to support some of the UK’s best-loved nursing and health, and gardening charities since 1927.
Our Gardens will be open from 11am to 4pm, and cost of entry is £3 – Free for children aged 17 years and under.
Our gardens are accessible and dog friendly. Our Cafe will be open serving hot and cold drinks, light lunches and lots of cakes. The Historic House also will be open with normal admission fees applying.
Picnics are also welcome.
