Around 400 visitors turned up for our August Bank Holiday Open Weekend from Saturday 26th to Monday 28th August. This is so heartwarming to see that despite being closed, you haven’t forgotten about us!
Reopening our café and shop for our Open Weekend
For the occasion we had reopened our café and shop, and stocked them with delicious local treats. And you loved it! We served 131 coffees, 86 teas, 144 pieces of cake, ice cream, and soft drinks. What happens next?
The scaffolding is now down and we’re applying the finishing touches to the old hall refurbishing work. The reinterpretation work has been completed and the artefacts will soon returned to their original place in the hall. We plan to reopen the whole site very soon and notice you once a fixed date has been agreed.
